Well it's clear Mrs Weasley wanted a daughter. I mean she had Bill and Charlie, fine. And then she had a third and that was Percy. And then she had a fourth and that was the TWINS and instead of saying 'Merlin help me, what was I thinking having these two?' she had Ron -- and with the spacing they must have gotten started with Ron right around the same time the Twins started WALKING, which -- yeah, I don't know.
She had Ron, and then a year later she had Ginny, and then Ginny was the last.
I mean I suppose it might have been Mr Weasley who wanted a daughter except no, if you think about it for five minutes you know it was Mrs Weasley and Mr Weasley's contribution to the decision was 'yes dear,' and sperm.
(Don't tell Ron I said this, I mean I do LIKE his family even though and -- well, just don't tell him.)
Anyway with my grandparents -- I have no idea, actually, because when I was little I thought having nine siblings sounded utterly wizard. I didn't have any and I was desperately jealous of people who had them. So I never asked.
