I know all of you are exhausted, and heart-weary. Please be good to one another in the coming days. Sleep if you can. Don't forget to eat. We'll see what we can do to have a small memorial of sorts over the weekend, barring any new chaos that may come our way.

There are still a significant number of people out there who will try their best to interfere with what we have planned, and I've no doubt they will fight us every step of the way. Be prepared to mobilize should we need it -- the ongoing threat our remaining enemies pose to us is a top priority.

Remus and I have been talking, and for the time being, Hogwarts seems the most obvious place to use as a seat for our transitional government. It is defendable, and yet still accessible for those who will need to come to treat with us. We will continue our attempts to move the Board to sack Dolohov, and make the castle as secure as possible. Are there any objections? Might we move the colocation box to a more convenient location while we're at it? I've no objections to the students and staff who are currently here staying as long as they chose, and we can anticipate moving to a more permanent location once things settle, optimistically, well before the term would begin.

Thank you all of you who've been helping to track down the last of the missing students, and for everyone who has been helping to escort parents.

I am willing to offer Ollivander amnesty in exchange for his full and immediate cooperation. He cannot expect immediate compensation, mind, but you can certainly have him come up with an itemised receipt.

It would be preferable if Melli had access to materials, etc. as well.

Keep moving forward aggressively with screening members to fill our numbers (a hearty congratulations to Ron, Hydra, Justin, and Draco, I am so very pleased), and keep a close eye on Buckingham and Westminster.

Bad news there. Bellatrix got Prometheus locked down as quickly as she could. His shop is staffed by old regime MLE and my guess is he's at Buckingham or somewhere else very secure.

We might be able to lure him out, but I wouldn't count on it.

With the camps liberated, arming those Muggleborn old enough to have even a few years of schooling would be preferable, and their numbers are beyond what we could supply with only Melli's work. The fifty taken from the Ministry helps, of course, but still.

Thoughts?

How much would it take to capture the shop by force? Or attempt a second break-in? See if Melli could get over the blood protections?

It's only vital to them because we need it.

I'm not going to say it's impossible, but it'll cost lives I'm not sure we want to spare just now. Also, that would get us materials and a stock of wands, but not Ollivander himself.

Thursday, for the first new and improved committee meeting, everyone?

Evelyn, I did a clean copy of our summary working notes last night, they're on the desk in my rooms. Possibly under a cat. If you and Sarah could share them with Septima and explain things as she has questions, that'd be a help to get her ready for the meeting.

Linus is very willing to help with the arithmancy side. (Also, I have had a long talk with him about how to behave. If he's an idiot at any of you, please tell me so I can sort it out.)

Was Chelsea Burris at Mysteries? She's high on my list for people to talk to if the opportunity presents. Also anyone who did anything with Stornoway.

I do need to talk to Georg and others. I'll set something up for Thursday. But yes, we have rather more access to resources than we used to, he's made that clear already.

Tomorrow. Mum says my sister's wild with grief, Andie's mum. And that she's saying some awful things. There's no reason you need to hear that, or anyone else who doesn't have to be there.

Marzipan and looking at stars with you to come home to, though, that would be a great help to have in my head to look forward to.

Some of it, with Di is - she's blaming the Order for not saving everyone. And no reason you need to hear that. (You needn't prove either your bravery or your caring to me, you know.)

The parchment work, yes. It's unconventional, but we're doing a lot of unconventional things all over the place. I think Georg will be glad to let me see how it works. You've done so much excellent work already.

It'd also make some things easier. As an apprentice, you could request things at the Guild yourself, for example, and not have to wait for me.

Lee -- the relocation of former servants -- has that hit any obvious snags? I know we're leaning fairly heavily on Aldrich, the Sherwood satellites, and Bedford for coordination purposes, and I'm assuming they've been calling in quite a few favours from those whose properties we Fideliused -- if there is any hint of harassment, let Rachel know right away, and if they need more volunteers who can apparate, send word, please.

Snags is a word.

Some deaths, people who tried to get away and got caught. Sometimes the family they were with, sometimes the Watch. We're taking down whatever information we can, so we can tell the families, but it's real jumbled right now.

Some who are still there, but not really free to leave. I've got a list of what we know, and why we think they want to leave. I'll bring it this afternoon.

And then about three parts people who got out.

Some of them are real broken. Can't make decisions for themselves, without orders. Real scared anytime anyone with a wand comes near them. We're trying to put them in small groups in the farms we've Fideliused, where there's useful stuff they can do, but not all of them can manage a farm.

Some of them desperately want wands and to go fight eveyone who made their lives hell for years. Can't blame them, but they're really not in shape for it.

And some of them, we think they're mostly as okay as someone could be, but the people at Aldrich with experience think that that may not hold for about half of them. So we're going real gently.

Coordinate directly with Rachel regarding the Watch activity -- if they're being overly active in a given area, that needs tamping down immediately.

Might we arrange for a counterpart? Local Committees of Welfare and Safety or somesuch? Charlie, I know you have thoughts on this.

And as for the rest, yes. That will take some time. I'm so grateful that they can be with people who know what it's been like, and who've been free for long enough to give some guidance.

The camps will likewise be difficult -- if we are to succeed here, we must work with them rather than tell them what to do and how to do it, but it will be a rough transition for many, I'm afraid.

Can muggles work the floo? If they can, it would send a very clear message to have a small team covering floo calls including several muggles plus a 'creature' or two.

We really do need to decide what we're going to call the side of Magical Creatures that deals with the other races rather than the actual creatures.

Council has bad associations, more's the pity.

Embassy for Non-Human Persons, perhaps? Sets a tone of negotiation, good-will, collaboration, communication... and an embassy suggests a certain degree of distance and independence that might be preferable for them.

I am not sure how they'd feel about the non-human distinction, though. We may have to put it to them to see what they think of it. Those with lycanthropy might be in a bit of a grey area depending on personal preference.

Our train and fleet of trucks are at your immediate disposal, and we might look into acquiring more should they prove useful. The camps will also have methods of transport available to them. I'm stuck in bed in the Hospital Wing for the moment, because this combination of hexes that hit me means that Poppy is determined to pour a ghastly potion down my throat every hour for the next few days at least.

Jeremy and Pansy, I can give you a letter to take to Rose Stuben, who runs the barter network centered at Ottery St. Catchpole (it's actually quite widespread), and I know she's in contact with other barter networks throughout the old Protectorate. She'll be able to give you a number of contacts. I can't help but think they'll be eager to work with us rather than Protectorate people, if only because WE won't be forbidding all but purebloods from receiving goods.

Speaking of which: is there any consensus forming of a name to call what we used to call 'The Protectorate'? Will we go back to the old country names, or something else?

Kingsley always used to say that after we overthrew the Protectorate we could call the land 'Albion.'

Well, it's probably not the most pressing question at the moment. But it might be helpful to chose something so we can be consistent in all statements and media reports, to distinguish ourselves from the other.

Wayne, love, your job is to make sure the free zones each send along a representative, and bring Birdwhistle along too. Tim, you can pass along to Davidson I expect him to either sit in on these initial sessions in person, or send Turner. His choice.

George and me grabbed the first half of one of Bill's lists, and we're off to start making the rounds (left the second half for Frank and Tonks). We'll check in with the nearest Sherwood contact to each camp, to get whatever information they have on the people there and the present situation. We'll also be making a list of their needs, so we can pass it along to Jeremy's crew. That should help thaw any ice.

We'll be careful. Lee's also given us a list of the camps still in the middle of uprising, and we'll avoid the hottest spots until we've learned they've cooled down a bit.

Yes, I've been hoping to get away to Grimmauld to look over his notes. He said he'd be leaving them in order. In case.

There's just been--so much to do. I was trying to help Mr Slughorn (or will he be Professor again?) but he didn't exactly believe me when I told him I'm a Journeywoman Potioneer and he had me chopping roots and so on. I'm not complaining, I'm just saying maybe this afternoon I can go and, and sort through his things. Mr Snape's, I mean. Severus's.

Someone ought to do it, anyway. Might as well be me.

Please tell Colin that he was turned away only because I was sleeping, not because I didn't wish to see him. In fact, I would very much like a visit from him as well. I mean...it looks rather dreadful, but I'm not trying to avoid people. Especially Colin.

I hope that Remus will warn him, though, so it won't be a terrible shock for him.

I would be happy to do any parchment work you think might help. Luckily the bite missed my eye, and the swelling has gone down enough that I can see out of both.
