Cedric -- it seems as though the broom patrols aren't going to be needed for the immediate future, which is quite good to hear. I've truly appreciated the work you've done in training and organising our eyes in the sky, and should we need it again, it's good to know we can muster a significant number of people who are flight-ready.

What do you think the next step for you ought to be? If you're willing, I could use a spare hand in Dover. And we'll be talking with Davidson over the weekend, sorting out logistics for the Sleepers, and I anticipate it'll be a rather large administrative headache -- I'd like you there to lend some strategic support.

I can certainly deploy to Dover tomorrow. What do you need me working on? Is it a one or two day thing or do you want me staying there for awhile? Due to my apparition recovery time, if you want me there for several days I'd rather kip there and I won't be able to come back for flying lessons for the kids in Moddey.

It'll be longer than a day or two, yes, I'd plan on staying overnight there for the time being.

At this point, it's communication and negotiation -- I can't be spending all my time with my head in a floo, and I'll need someone to hold down the fort in case progress is made on the French side of things -- we'll go through a thorough action list once you get here, but it'd mostly involve being available to be able to pass along once they're ready for more extended negotiations, and answering any immediate questions they may have.

I'll ask Jeremy to come up to Moddey as his schedule allows to lead flying drills for the kids.

It'll be less direct negotiation, and more handling the day-to-day details and logistics. They're a needy bunch, and you have experience sorting the wheat from the chaff, as well as how to provide a rather firm 'no' when it's needed, and if we get to the point where they're asking for a firm commitment in anything, well, that'll be progress, and I'll help steer things.

I'm hoping that if they have to talk to an intermediary, they'll be more focused and bring actual solutions to the table when it is time to really and truly negotiate. They're just posturing at this point, and I don't have the patience or the time for it.

I can certainly handle that. I think you'll be available once a day and I'll compile everything for you in a packet to respond to en mass. They ought to get the message right quick. Unless of course it's an actual emergency.
